Description

Join the NYU Tandon Office of Student Activities & Resource Center for our annual one-day leadership development summit, CATalyst. As a component of the Tandon Leadership Lab series, CATalyst allows 100 students to immerse themselves in a full day of leadership development, complete with panel discussions with former NYU Tandon student leaders and industry professionals, skills-building workshops, and the opportunities to interact with other students looking to grow their leadership toolbox.

CATalyst 2019’s theme, Technology in Service to Society, was born from the acknowledgement that Tandon students have incredible potential as change makers. They have power in their mastery of engineering, science, and technology that can greatly benefit their community and beyond. The needs of society are becoming more personal and highly interactive than ever before, and employers are seeking creative thinkers who really understand people and how to center human experience in design. CATalyst seeks to be a jumping off point for students to start the conversation and practice of developing skills to give them the tools they need to achieve great societal impact. Students will choose one of three tracks to participate in based on the skills they believe they need most to enhance their learning and accomplish their goals. The three tracks are: Inclusive Leadership, Self-Awareness and Development, or Effective Communication.
